This Crazy Life...
It's been a long week,
exhausting and never ending.
The clock on the wall spins so slow, like it's not even spinning.
You can hear every single tick of every second, every minute.
watching the door for a relief,
just hoping they'll come in it...
Shift work ain't a song it's a job, ....it's our life.
The hours and memories we lose from our children.... our wife.
It puts food on the table, a roof over our head,
and clothes on our back.. very true.
A life that people see only from afar,
never knowing what you and your family go through.
I'm not trying to complain because it's selfish you could say.
There are people who would give anything to live this way..
I thank God daily for my blessings, my job being one,
We lose so much time away from all the ones we love.
Your friends are headed to the lake, you're headed off to work.
They're at home in bed all night,
You're wide awake,
feeling like a jerk.
Sleeping all day and working all night,
Waking up feeling moody, everybody just wants to fight.
Your life is like a roller coaster,
it never seems to slow down or sit still.
Some are filled with anger and pain,
Some seek help from a pill..
It's not easy for anyone trying to make ends meet,
Life is so expensive it gets tough,
but we work so we can eat.
This life we live is not a life for very many folk...
It gets stressful and exhausting and
when life hands you lemons, you make lemonade or
.... go broke..
