Meaningful

Meaningful

This world is so systematic  so full of static,
The joys of life can be so climatic or dramatic..
The mixture of emotions, feelings left ecstatic.

A world spinning on faith and trust  and some think science and knowledge,
Even the brightest kid can't learn common sense in an ivy league college.

Part of the world says my God, another says theirs,
Part of the world says no God,
the other part says who cares.

Everything happens for a reason,
everything happens in a season,
If you think outside the box, you might as well have  committed treason....

Get on the wagon, get on the bus,
this is what we think and you should too if you want to be like us....   sorry

No wonder the world is so full of anxiety and depression, hiding behind all the shame..
People treating others like animals, because of their differences leaving them shattered and full of pain.
Like a dog left out in the cold, chained up in the darkness,  all alone in the rain..

We all want equality and independence, but left guilty if not the same.
What's wrong with being different? It's life not a game..
You shouldn't live in shame,
The lion is still king of the jungle even though the tamer thinks he's tame...

I believe in a God, the creator of all things on this earth..
I believe I was put here for a reason,  a purpose for my birth,
To spread the love of Jesus Christ... He lived and died...
so meaningful for what it's worth..

For you to have a life, for you to have a choice..
He gave the bible, the word of God to speak as truth in place of His voice..

One of Those Days

One of Those Days

It's one of those days where everything seems so crazy,
It's one of them days that nothing seems to amaze me.
It's one of those days where if it could go wrong, it does.
It's one of them days that makes the best of the best sometimes forget who he once was.

You know the kind of day when instead of sugar, you put salt into your coffee.
The kind of day where you thought that you had it all under control, but realized things are getting costly...
You know the kind of day where nothing seems to go the way you want it to,
Everything you lay your hands upon just seems to fall apart for you.

Well it's been one of those days, that everything happens in a blink..
What was I thinking? Why did this happen? What went wrong?  I'm not sure let me think....

You ever had one of those days where everything seemed to be against you?
The clock, the car, the train, the cashier at the fast food drive through...
You ever had one of those days where you wanted to just go to work and come home?
But instead get caught up in all the drama when instead you wish some things be left alone...

It's been one of them days, thankful it wasn't all too crazy.
It's been one of them kind of days that no matter what, God seems to still amaze me..
It's been one of them days, where if something goes wrong, then it's ok if it does..
It's been one of them days where my wife reminds me who she loves..

You ever had one of them days where everything seemed so very chaotic,
until you caught your breath and realized that complaining was pathetic not poetic?

You ever had one of them days you never thought that you'd get through it, but the support of a good woman and the grace of God showed that you could do it?

You ever had one of those day
where you see yourself from anothers view looking from the outside in, and the beauty of being humbled gives you strength to try to look  within?

You ever had one of them days that seem so down and out that you can't see the sunshine for the rain?
One of them days that unless you shed some tears, you'll never get through all the pain.

But through the pain, and through the tears the sunlight starts shining for a while..
another day, a glimpse of hope, another reason to try and smile....
When there's a will, then there are ways..
Cheer up cause no one's perfect, sometimes it's just gonna be one of those days!

A Sight for Sore Eyes

We were drifting around in the lake yesterday while fishing. And all I could do was just stare in awe at some of God's creations and habitats.
I'm not really sure why things were the way they were, or even how they came to be, or if it even really mattered if someone else had the answers to those huge " WHY? " questions we all have. All I know is that I was there, I could see it with my own two eyes, and could have laid my own two hands on it if I had tried, but never could I have recreated this view by chance... Only the hands of something much much greater than man could make things this beautiful.
I don't think I would have ever seen this if the lake hadn't been built. If someone hadn't decided to build a dam, and a lake, I know without a doubt, I would not have hiked and climbed out there in the middle of this small town mountain...
Just driving through, you think man if I blink, I may miss it all, and it wouldn't be much missed, untill you explore deeper than the two lane highway that runs right through it.. These are only a few of the shots I took...
It's better in person.... If ya know what I mean.....

Kind of like a relationship with Christ.
Just looking at a picture of what we think Christ looked like is a beautiful thing, but breaking free from the cover of the Bible and really exploring what the word of God really says can be breath taking..
You can go to church every Sunday of every week of all your life, and put money in the plate, sing all the hymns, even come to Sunday school, but if you never open your heart to Jesus and experienced a personal daily relationship with Him, then you are merely just blessing Him with your presence, instead of absorbing His...
I have to stop and remember sometimes who He came here for and why... And then I can see the beauty of it.. But also those He came here for also have a purpose, not to just be a flicker of hope, but a beacon on hope... He said be the light...
Like this rock, it's not just a rock, it's an awesome display of God and His creativity...
This rock serves one purpose.... To Glorify God.. sure it could be scientifically described as what, when, why, where, and how... I guess... I can sum it up in one word....... God...

Don't just make a judgment on Christ because of a few verses, or people you see in a pew... You have to really dive in to know for yourself.

We went swimming later on after finding this and I love what my oldest son said... " come on in, the water's fine! "
It's amazing how water can soothe the soul by sight, sound, smell, touch, and taste...  I don't recommend drinking it straight from a lake or river though...

John 4:7-14 NASB

There *came a woman of Samaria to draw water. Jesus *said to her, "Give Me a drink."  For His disciples had gone away into the city to buy food. Therefore the Samaritan woman *said to Him, "How is it that You, being a Jew, ask me for a drink since I am a Samaritan woman?" (For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.) Jesus answered and said to her, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, 'Give Me a drink,' you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water."  She *said to Him, "Sir, You have nothing to draw with and the well is deep; where then do You get that living water? You are not greater than our father Jacob, are You, who gave us the well, and drank of it himself and his sons and his cattle?" Jesus answered and said to her, "Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again;  but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life."

Independence Day

As I sit here watching an awesome fireworks show, I feel the percussion of the booms. I can't help but wonder what all went on back then when this country battled for our freedom.. what these brave men sacrificed and went through just to stand up and fight for their homes, land, and freedoms..
As the sky is lit up with beautiful displays of flashing lights, the echoes of booms shake the ground and rattle the windows all around us like cannons in the distance...
In desert storm we followed the media as it showed showers of gun fire in the night, and what these brave men and women went through for us to sit here and watch a show of lights, while they are wading through a storm of gun fire...

There are two that have brought us freedom, Jesus Christ, and the American Soldiers that face the fear we are sheltered from...
Thank you Jesus for dying for freedom of sins,
Thankyou troops for fighting and dying for our freedom... Both have made great sacrifices.. freedom don't come free..
A price is paid for everything...
